Vinoteca di Monica Hosts Shriners Hospitals’ Alec Cabacungan

Alec Cabacungan, of Shriners famous “Love to the Rescue” commercial, was graciously hosted for lunch by Jorge Mendoza at Vinoteca di Monica, before visiting the Paul Revere House.  Thank you from the Aleppo Shriners and Shriners Hospital for hosting the private luncheon for Alec and his family.   Alec came to Boston from his hometown of Chicago to speak at a Shriners’ event.  Alec received the royal treatment from not only Vinoteca di Monica, but also from the Boston Bruins, who signed a team jersey for him, the Boston Red Sox who brought him on to the field, and the New England Patriots who gave him a tour of the Stadium.

On Monday, November 10, 2014, the Eliot K-8 Innovation School raised $66,000.00 at its annual Fall Evening for Education at Vinoteca Di Monica in the North End.  This event was generously hosted by the Mendoza family for the sixth year. “Evening for Education” Celebrates Eliot School [Photos]

This year’s “Evening for Education” was celebrated on Tuesday night to benefit the Eliot K-8 Innovation School and raise funds to increase enrichment opportunities for its students. Hosted by Governing Board Co-Chair and Chef, Jorge Mendoza, and the Mendoza family, this charity event at Vinoteca di Monica provided an opportunity to mingle with many local supporters.
