Fox News hosted their morning news show from Christopher Columbus Park Friday morning for its “Fox Zip Trip” segment. They had about 10 booths with businesses plus bouncy houses for the kids to play in.
The idea was to interview with local organizations, businesses and neighbors from the North End / Waterfront.
Two local groups interviewed included FOCCP, Friends of Christopher Columbus Park and NEMPAC, the North End Music and Performing Arts Center.
Meredith Piscitelli, who is an active volunteer with FOCCP, was interviewed on TV and spoke about the organization. She mentioned that Christopher Columbus Park is one of the most “Kissable” places in Boston and that many engagements have taken place in the park and under the trellis. Sherri Snow, the director of North End Music and Performing Arts (NEMPAC) was also interviewed on TV. It was an exciting morning in the park. Boy, are we all luck to call Christopher Columbus Park our own “backyard” in the city.
Saw you guys on the news. Meredith was great. Big cheers!
Awwwww thanks, Jon. I was the default interviewee. I told Gene about the Peace rose, gave him one with no thorns and one of our blue shirts for his wife. That’s all I remember. It was a first. Wishing I could find it, I think.
