Neighborhood Council Candidate Introductions [Video]

In advance of Saturday’s community election for North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC), candidates were given the opportunity to introduce themselves to the community at this week’s NEWNC meeting.

NEWNC’s annual election is on Saturday, May 14, 2016, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 N. Bennet Street, North End, Boston. All North End / Waterfront residents (Ward 3, Precincts 1, 2, 3, and 4), age 18 and older, are eligible to vote in this year’s election. Bring proof of residence.

  2. Brett Roman – Cleveland Pl.
  3. Zach Zimmerman** – Hanover St.
  4. Danielle D’Ambrosio – Hanover St.
  5. Anne Roach** – Charter St. 
  6. Gennaro Riccio* – Hanover St.
  7. Marie Simboli* – Prince St.
  8. Michael Bonetti – Hull St.

Candidate Luigi Natale is no longer running after accepting a position on the staff of State Senator-elect Joe Boncore.

The six candidates with the most votes will be elected for a 2-year term and join the other current six members that have one year left remaining in their term. The other six standing members on the 12-person council are Philip Frattaroli, Carmine Guarino, Sean Hennessey, Jorge Mendoza and Ralph Verrocchi.

NEWNC recognized the contributions of those NEWNC members who are not running for re-election, Ryan Kenny, Jessica Dello Russo and notably Anne Devlin Tagliaferro who served for twenty consecutive years.
