Improv Asylum is hosting its annual fundraiser for Globe Santa this weekend. The cast performs for 24 hours and 100% of proceeds (from ticket sales and auctions) goes directly to Globe Santa. Tickets are $25, get tickets on Monday for $10 by using code: NORTH END

Little Groove music classes are designed to help infants, toddlers, and preschoolers learn and interact through sound, sight, and touch in a live music setting.
6:30pm Carmela Favorito (Carmela’s Story) book signing and talk [I AM Books, 189 North Street, Boston]
‘Carmela’s Story’ is about the life and times of Carmela Marie Leone Favorito. Carmela completed her book after a trip to Italy in 2005, her first return after 53 years. In 2006, at age 75 she had it published with the support of her family.

Films made in Paris: “Bande à part” Band of Outsiders (1965) runtime of 95 minutes. Filmed on the cold, de-glamorised streets of urban Paris, the film has a spontaneous feel that adds a lot to the exhilarating plot. Two crooks with a fondness for old Hollywood B-movies convince a languages student to help them commit a robbery.
6:00pm Men of the Cloth – Director presentation and Q&A [I AM Books, 189 North Street, Boston, MA]
Men of the Cloth by Vicki Vasilopoulos (USA/Italy, 2013, 96 min.). An inspiring documentary portrait of three Italian master tailors who share their pride and devotion to their Old World craft while confronting the challenges of the twilight of their careers. The film unfolds the tapestry of their lives, unraveling the mystery of their artistry and revealing how their passionate devotion to their craft is akin to a religion.

An Urban Renewal update will take place at Boston City Hall, 1 City Hall Square. In regards to the next steps, over the past 10 months, the BRA has been engaged in public outreach as they seek extension of expiring urban renewal plan areas.

8:00am Callahan Tunnel Noise Meeting on Richmond Street
District Highway Director and his team want to meet with residents on the site of the Callahan Tunnel trench drain noise located at the Richmond Street tunnel fence (next to the dog walk). View the event posting.

10:00am Mary Ann Esposito (Ciao Italia) book signing [I AM Books, 189 North Street, Boston]
Mary Ann Esposito is an American chef and the television host of Ciao Italia with Mary Ann Esposito, which started in 1989 and is the longest-running television cooking program in America. Esposito has published over a dozen cookbooks.
3:30pm Santa Skate and Toy Drive at Steriti Rink
Santa Skate & Toy Drive Sponsored by the North End Columbus Day Celebration Committee. Bring an unwrapped toy for kids ages 1-13 and enjoy complimentary skating while enjoying the sounds of the season. The Saint Agrippina Society will host its annual Christmas Program for North End kids only. We have been getting over 80 neighborhood kids and are thankful for the opportunity to give back to this neighborhood, details on the event.
