The Mendoza family of the North End’s Vinoteca di Monica generously hosted the seventh annual Evening for Education Tuesday night. Over 130 community members enjoyed delicious food and drinks in support of the Eliot School’s Deepening Enrichment initiative, focused on providing continuous enrichment and growth for all Eliot students. Members of the North End community came together with parents of Eliot students and alumni to support the North End’s only public school in the midst of major growth within the school.
The evening was sponsored by DePasquale Ventures, City Suites, MSA Mortgage, and JW Capital Partners.
Support for this initiative will allow the Eliot to continue its robotics program; purchase leveled Italian books and tools; offer each classroom science materials to encourage students to explore the world around them; and expand its team sports during PE, recess, and after-school.
The Eliot’s principal, Traci Walker Griffith, says “I’m so grateful to the caring community that comes together each year to support the Eliot. The Eliot’s ongoing improvement since I began as principal would not be possible without the Mendoza family and the entire North End coming together to on behalf of our spectacular students.”
