The rain held off for the annual Mayor’s Coffee Hour with Marty Walsh at Christopher Columbus Park on Tuesday. Dozens of North End / Waterfront residents came out to speak with Mayor Walsh about various issues. In his remarks, Walsh noted that he is hearing a lot about development and traffic concerns. Also speaking at the event were State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz and Boston Parks Commissioner Chris Cook.
Rep. Michlewitz and Mayor Walsh used the occasion to recognize longtime neighborhood coordinator Nicole Leo who is leaving for a new position at City Hall. Mayor Walsh also announced that North End native Maria Lanza will be taking up the liaison position for the neighborhood. As always, complementary Dunkin Donuts coffee and potted plants from the city’s nursery were handed out to attendees.
