MassDOT will discuss options for covering the open ramp portions of Central Artery/Tunnel Parcels 6, 12 and 18 along the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Staff from MassDOT and the BRA, along with their consultant team, will provide an update on current and planned study activities, present information on existing conditions and potential redevelopment options, and also offer the public an opportunity to provide input on potential alternatives for the ramp parcels. [467 Hanover St, Boston] All our welcome at the St. Joseph Society will hold an awards ceremony honoring John Romano with a Community Service Award in recognition of his many years of Dedicated Leadership and Commitment to the important civic and charitable organizations benefiting the North End. John is the current President of NEAD, North End Against Drugs and serves as the baseball and soccer coordinator for the NEAA, the North End Athletic Association. He is also a past President of NEMPAC, the North End Music and Performing Arts Center and the past Grand Knight of the Ausonia Council Knights of Columbus #1513.

The exhibit will feature photographs of boxing champ Tony DeMarco’s many matches at the old Boston Garden. The former Welterweight Champion of the World, DeMarco grew up in Boston’s North End but cut his boxing teeth beginning at age 11 at the West End Boys Club.
