NEWRA members voted 22-4 to support a new 40-seat pizzeria at 357-361 Hanover Street by Nedia Trust (Joe Bono and Warren Mustacchio of Al Dente and Benevento’s). The location at the corner of Fleet Street was recently 1-800-Flowers and Circle Pizza before that. The new owners are negotiating to use the Circle Pizza name. (See prior presentation at the Neighborhood Council that also supported the new venture.)

Owners of the Golden Goose Market at 179 Commercial Street received a favorable 16-10 vote for a zoning variance to expand the store to include a one story addition in the adjacent alley that they also own. This item was also recently supported by the Neighborhood Council.

Boston Water & Sewer Commission presented an update on plans for extensive sewer work in the neighborhood. See a recent presentation here.

NEWRA also hosted a forum to address neighborhood dog issues with North End RUFF, Greenway Conservancy and Boston Police.
