The 2014 National Night Out brought out North End neighbors, Boston Police and elected officials to the Prado (Paul Revere Mall) last week. Held in conjunction with North End Against Drugs North End Family Pride Week, Mayor Marty Walsh spoke at the event, joined by Police Commissioner William Evans and many of his command from local District A-1. Elected officials, Representative Aaron Michlewitz, Councilor Sal LaMattina, Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley and Sheriff Steven Tompkins also attended the eventful night to promote public safety. National Night Out is a country-wide program that cultivates and strengthens partnerships among the community, youth, police, city agencies and community–based organizations.
