Did your phone buzz (and buzz, and buzz) on Monday afternoon with a crazy message about a tornado warning for Boston? That’s right, not a watch, but a warning … indicating that funnel clouds were spotted. While the storm clouds were ominous, Downtown Boston received only some loud thunder, heavy rain and lightning bursts. Just as quickly, the sky cleared and a beautiful rainbow appeared over the harbor. The awesome lightning photo below was sent in by Laura Campbell (thank you!) and the rest are by yours truly. If you look at the rainbow photos closely, there is almost a double rainbow, but nothing like what we saw last year.
