You Can Now Charge Your Phone on the Greenway

We’ve seen benches, tables, grass, flowers, pianos, and a world of other things on the Greenway, but being able to charge your phone is a new development. Three stations have been installed, each being built to withstand vandalism and harsh weather. The portals are USB compatible but do not carry the iPhone hookup cable. Read the story at Boston.com.

This graphic designer makes ‘smell maps’ of cities around the world

Walking through the North End neighborhood, depending on what day and time of the week it is, can certainly bring some interesting smells. This graphic designer is leading smell tours through the neighborhood going simply by scent. These smell walks have occurred in different parts of the world over the past several years, they are sensory research trips and they collect data so Boston can be mapped by smell.  PRI.org

Restaurants with a taste for innovation

The Waterfront continues to grow out to the “innovation district.” Strega Waterfront is being joined by several other restaurant establishments that attract people who are “entrepreneurial, foodies, and techies.” Read more at The Boston Globe.
