North Ender Charlene Love has opened her own shop, Luigi & Lola Shoes at 404 Hanover Street, right next to My Cousin’s Place coffee shop. After nearly 20 years working in television, mostly at WHDH, she shares the news “I have started a business right here in the neighborhood that I live in and love!”
The shop itself has been converted from the former Local Roots and combined with the adjacent seamstress shop to make a bigger space for the chic boutique. Here is how Charlene describes what you will find:
I carry only the finest leather shoes, handbags, wallets, briefcases and of course plenty of jewelry. I do have men’s shoes too! I also have some gently used Prada and Louis Vuitton handbags. The price range is very wide and I am working diligently to be a high end boutique, while trying to cater to the needs of all of the people who live in the North End. I do have a little something for everyone.
So what about the name? Luigi & Lola are Charlene’s dogs and you will likely find them greeting you at the door!
Hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11-7 and Sunday 12-6 at 404 Hanover Street, 617-227-0501. Find out more on Facebook or Twitter @luigiandlola.
Congrats! Wish I loved in Boston so I could shop at your fabulous shop,
