The Boston Public Market Association and their development team presented the proposed design for the Boston Public Market project. The market will be located in the currently vacant ground floor of the MassDOT Parcel 7 garage at 136 Blackstone Street, on the corner of Hanover Street along the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
The Boston Public Market is expected to include a Market Hall with space for about 50 vendors selling local food products. A restaurant and education / display space is also included as part of the plan.
With construction expected to start this year on the $15 million project, the BPMA is working toward a Summer 2015 opening.
