For the second time this week, the conditional use application for Restaurant Rigoletto at 115-117 Salem Street has been tabled, pending further discussions with abutters. A 40 minute discussion was held at the March 13th meeting of the North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA).
The Salem Group LLC is pursuing an expanded plan at the location with a full restaurant menu, kitchen equipment and venting.
Questions centered around neighbor notification, interior configuration of a bar and potential venting issues on the roof. Attorney Diane Modica said the long delay in opening has been a financial drain.
Abutters at 44 Prince Street are scheduled to meet with the applicants before the next NEWRA meeting. For similar reasons, NEWNC tabled their discussion on this request last Monday.
The applicant agreed to defer their City Hall hearing currently scheduled for March 25, 2014.
