Christmas Tree Celebration at Top of Hanover Street in North End [Photos]

Christmas came to the Gateway of the North End at the corner of Hanover and Cross Streets with a tree celebration featuring Santa, carolers and refreshments. The North End Beautification Committee sponsored the event for the third year. Hot chocolate and cookies were donated by Caffe Paradiso. The tree and decorations were funded by the committee with help from the North End Chamber of Commerce.

The North End Beautification Committee is a community-based volunteer organization with a mission to preserve, maintain and enhance the aesthetic integrity of this historic North End neighborhood, with the hopes to enrich its beautification through creative and innovative enhancements. Current committee chairs are Patricia Thibotout, Allison Seavey and David Grant. The NEBC is soliciting donations for its holiday and Spring 2014 projects. Checks can be sent to the North End Beautification Committee, 100 Fulton St., 4v, Boston, MA 02109.
