Thanksgiving came a couple of days early at St. John School. On Tuesday, November 26th, the First and Second graders at St. John School celebrated Thanksgiving enjoying a delicious traditional feast after having learned about the holiday and its traditions.
Faculty and parents helped serve a Thanksgiving lunch of turkey, potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, corn bread, cranberry sauce, apple cider and of course, apple pie, to the students and then joined them for the feast.
According to Principal, Karen McLaughlin, “The annual Thanksgiving lunch was a great success. After learning all about Thanksgiving, the students really look forward to celebrating the holiday by eating a traditional Pilgrim and Indian feast.”
Thank you to all the parents and teachers for making our Thanksgiving feast one to remember. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
