On Thursday, October 29 grandparents and special friends joined us at St. John School for our annual Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day. It was a great opportunity for St. John School to invite our families to come in and spend a few hours to see our school through the eyes of our students as well as meeting their friends and teachers that they hear so much about.
Our day started out with a welcome breakfast reception with our Principal, Karen McLaughlin. Guests were then invited to visit the classrooms and spend some time with their grandchildren/friends. Our teachers planned a wide range of activities for students to share with their guests including iPad activities, art projects, crafts, reading stories and playing games. The day gave our students the opportunity to give the special people in our children’s lives a first-hand view of St. John School.
Thank you to all of the grandparents and special friends who came to celebrate our event, as well as the many parent volunteers who made the event possible, it was a special day for everyone.
