As it has for the last 20 years, the North Bennet Street School welcomed potential students and community friends inside America’s first trade and crafts school. This year was quite a bit different, however, as it was the first Open House at the new spacious campus facility on North Street in Boston’s North End. Neighborhood readers will not only appreciate the first class renovation, but also the classic North End views.

Former Transit Building and Police Station, now the North Bennet Street School
School officials hosted a meeting about the Eliot Upper School extension project and the ongoing construction at the site of the former North Bennet Street School in Boston’s North End. Nathan Swain, a local artist and North End resident, is proposing a “Glass Garden” at the corner of Richmond and North Street within the empty concrete fenced space.
