NEWF Tuesday 9/3/13: Police Commissioner, Suffolk Downs and TD Garden at Chamber of Commerce

I hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend, because summer is unofficially over and it looks like a busy September in the neighborhood!

What’s Going on Today:

On Tuesday at 3:30 pm at St. Leonard’s Hall (35 Prince St.), the North End Chamber of Commerce is likely to be packed with business members given the high profile agenda. All existing and potential members are invited.

  • Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis will speak about public safety in the neighborhood.
  • Chip Tuttle will be presenting from Suffolk Downs Casino will present its proposed resort project, community benefits and business partnership opportunities.
  • Amy Latimer, President of TD Garden will be talking about the proposed tower development there.
  • NECC’s Damien DiPaola will also be speak about preparations for Italian Heritage Month in October.

At 7:00 pm, the NEWRA Parks Committee will hold its monthly meeting at the Nazzaro Center, 30 N. Bennet St.
