The Sunday Grand Procession brought the statue of Saint Anthony to every corner of the North End, accompanied by eight bands throughout the marathon day as devotees paid tribute to Saint Anthony Di Padua Da Montefalcione. The event was held on Sunday, August 25, 2013.
There are over 100 photos in this second photo gallery depicting the afternoon and early evening hours as part of the 10-hour procession. As you can see, the statue is getting filled with dozens of money ribbons. In the case of Caffe Paradiso, the statue went inside for a little espresso pick-up. As night falls, it is time to head back to the feast for the big finale, coming in Part 3.
