The North End’s State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz hosted a “meet and greet” event on Sunday afternoon in support of Mayoral Candidate Charlotte Golar Richie. Michlewitz has strongly endorsed Richie and spoke about why he chose to back her candidacy in the crowded field to follow Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino. Emphasizing schools, housing/development and public safety, the Mayoral candidate spoke about her financial background, experience and passion to serve the Boston neighborhoods. Richie and Michlewitz have known each other for several years and recently shared MBA classes. Introducing the event at the Prezza Restaurant was Fleet Street’s Bobby Dello Russo, joined by many neighbors and friends that had either already backed Richie or simply wanted to hear what she had to say. A surprise birthday cake was also brought out at the end of the event to celebrate Rep. Aaron Michlewitz’s 35th birthday.
