Complete with 18th Century costumed guides, the final touches were applied this week to the iconic 191-foot high steeple as part of the restoration project at Old North Church. In preparation for Old North Church’s 300th anniversary in 2023, the Freedom Trail Foundation’s Preservation Fund awarded a grant to support the restoration and painting of the steeple last restored 12 years ago and opening of the new Colonial Chocolate Shop.
The high flying painters are shown in the photos below along with the Freedom Trail® Players helping out. Also shown below are photos from the ongoing archeological dig behind the Clough House and the fence work at Copp’s Hill Burying Ground.
