It was a special Ave Maria concert in celebration of Mother’s Day at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday evening, May 11, 2013. The St. Leonard Choral Society performed with the North End Chamber Orchestra and St. John’s School Children’s Choir honoring the Blessed Mother and the wonderful women that grace our lives. Music Director Dan Drzymalski conducted several versions of “Ave Maria” for the concert. A highlight was the debut performance of “Dona Nobis Pacem” by Christopher Gainey, composed especially for the St. Leonard Choral Society.
