The Friends of the North End Parks (FOTNEP) presented this week to the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy Board of Directors in support of their plan to enhance the plantings on the Greenway.

FOTNEP President Nathan Swain described the group’s efforts in coordination with the Conservancy to plant 13,000 daffodils last fall. A Spring celebration with the thousands of blooming daffodils is scheduled for Sunday, April 14th from 12 noon to 3:00 pm on the North End Greenway Parks. (See the event flyer for Daffodil Day.)

As a next step, FOTNEP is looking to partner with the Conservancy to replace the boxwood shrubs in the existing planting beds with sweeping, four season flowers and grasses using designs inspired by horticulturalist Adrian Bloom.
