St Leonard Choral Society Music Director, Dr. Dan Drzymalski, is putting together a concert in May along the themes of Motherhood, Peace, and Mary. The potential dates for this public event are the first full weekend in May or the second full weekend. The Society is now actively recruiting more choir members for this concert.
Particularly exciting is that composer Chris Gainey (http://christophergainey.com) has composed a special piece of music just for the group. The title of the music is “Dona Nobis Pacem,” and it will have its premiere at the concert in May. This is a very exciting opportunity for everybody involved, because the St. Leonard Choral Society will really have a chance to make music history when it performs this music!
Rehearsals will probably begin in late February in the North End of Boston. There are no fees to participate, and all who enjoy singing are very welcome (and the ability to read music is not required – although you’ll no doubt learn a lot about doing so from this experience)! Please contact Dan at: dandrzymalski@gmail.com if you have any questions, or would like to be notified when rehearsals begin.
