What’s Going On in the North End / Waterfront

Santa Arrives by Helicopter on Sunday, 1pm, at Puopolo Field on Commercial Street (weather permitting). The annual North End Christmas Parade follows through the streets of the North End. See the flyer.

At 11 am, RUFF holds its monthly cleanup. Meet at the Prado.

At 4pm, listen to some Christmas music at the Concerto di Natale, Sacred Heart Church, 10 North Square. See the poster.

The Boston Zoning Board of Appeal banned new billboards this week from Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Financial District and Kenmore Square. Some other areas need ZBA approval, including South Boston. (Ed: What about the North End?) One billboard owner is making a protest … with billboards, of course, against City Hall and State House corruption including quotes from Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.
