This photo gallery depicts the late afternoon and early evening hours, about two-thirds into the 10-hour Sunday Grand Procession of Saint Anthony through the streets of the North End. As you can see, the statue is getting filled with dozens of money ribbons.
The society members stopped for a few group shots in the dark with the Boston skyline in the background. This is also the time when the statue gets carried down Hanover and Salem Streets attracting big crowds as it stops at the cafes and restaurants. In the case of Caffe Paradiso, the statue went inside for a little expresso pick-up. As night falls, it is time to head back to the feast for the big finale, coming in Part 3.
