Krisanthi Pappas Concert Attracts Standing Room Only Crowd to North End Branch Library

On Wednesday evening, October 5th, in a tribute to Italian Heritage Month, the Friends of the North End Library presented jazz singer Krisanthi Pappas singing the songs of Frank Sinatra. Ms. Pappas was accompanied by swinging pianist Bill Duffy.

A diverse capacity crowd of approximately 50 people enjoyed the 1-hour concert. The event crescendoed when Ms. Pappas took over the keyboard to play and sing “My Way” and provided a big finish with the crowd pleaser “New York, New York.”

The audience also had fun participating in a Sinatra trivia contest, which resulted in one lucky winner of one of Ms. Pappas’ CDs.

An enthusiastic ovation was given to the performers at the conclusion of the concert.
