Boston Police District A-1 are distributing flyers and cards for the new “Be Courteous to Your Neighbors” campaign. Officers on patrol will have the cards to hand out to people on the streets, initially targeting groups of individuals gathering at common spots where there are noise complaints. Officers will also use the flyers in their education lectures to university students.
At recent public safety meetings, residents and landlords asked for copies to print out for posting in their own buildings. Real estate offices will also receive the flyers for new apartment tenants.
The noise flyers are the first of their kind in the City of Boston and are a take off of the “Pipe Down Please” campaign previously used for motorcycle noise.
