Zoning and Licensing Applications

7:30 – 7:50 PM
44 North Bennet Street, Peter McGinnis has filed an appeal for zoning relief for proposed expansion of the rooftop head house structure into a residential unit with roof deck, increasing the height of the front of the building from about 42 feet to about 52 feet. Building will be converted from existing 3 residential units and 1 commercial unit to 8 residential units and 1 commercial unit. Concerns raised about impacts to abutting buildings, both sides.

7:50 – 8:10 PM
162 Endicott Street, Glen Taylor has filed an appeal for zoning relief to change the legal occupancy of the building to include the existing basement and first floor duplex condominium unit. The duplex unit was in the 1980’s, apparently with no building permit, and has since been owned and occupied. Concerns raised about entry to basement living area through an alley off Thacher Court.

8:10 – 8:40 PM
Fairmont Battery Wharf, 20-50 Battery Street, has applied to the Licensing Board for the City of Boston to amend its C.V. 7-Day All-Alcohol Beverages licenses to extend alcohol service (with food) on the 86-seat outdoor patio from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, seven days. Fairmont Battery Wharf has future plans to add live and recorded entertainment to the patio.
