On Tuesday, May 3, 2001, the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy and Greenway Leadership Council (GLC) honored the service of GLC Chair, Ann Thornburg who is completing her two-year term on the council.
In the first video, Conservancy Chair, Georgia Murray and Executive Director, Nancy Brennan recognize the work of Ms. Thornburg on the GLC.
In the video below, GLC Chair Ann Thornburg gives her final “Very Special GLC Report.”
Oh yes, the above report comes with a minor disclaimer by the author:
“This presentation is a work of total fiction and total responsibility of the author. It is not to be referred to in whole or in part in any form outside of this meeting without the express written permission of the author, Scott Brown, MassDot and the parking attendant at 183 Kneeland St.”
And lastly, in a bit of serious discussion, the Conservancy’s Governance Chair, Don DeAmicis, announces the nomination by Mayor Menino for the new GLC Chair, Michael Cantalupa, Senior Vice President of Development for Boston Properties. This is also followed by the report of Finance Chair, Bob Gore and a new investment policy presented by Woody Lynn.
Upcoming posts will have more on the May 3rd meeting, including a presentation and discussion regarding the addition of public art to the Greenway, food vending and the proposed Business Improvement District.
