This year continues the eight year tradition of the Waterfront Performing Arts Series. The concerts will be held on Tuesday evenings, 6 – 8 pm, from August 3rd to August 24th at Christopher Columbus Park. This summer’s series includes:
August 3
A North End Salute, featuring Lirica Italiana and Adam Herbert: An evening of classic arias, favorite Neapolitan songs, and a tribute to Frank Sinatra.
August 10
Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles: A delightful meld of the high-lonesome vibe of classic country with the hardscrabble attitude of old-school alt-rock.
August 17
A Celtic Night with Laura Cortese: Welding the propulsive grace of ancient fiddle styles to disarmingly open-hearted original pop songs
August 24
Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged): A bawdy parody of the plays written by William Shakespeare with all of them being performed (in shortened form) during the show by only three actors.
