Do You Miss “The Town?” Re-living North End Movie Making

It has been a week or so since “The Town” concluded its filming in the North End after almost a month of on and off production in the neighborhood. I recently found Christine Tello’s Hollywood East Connection website where contributor Mary Pierce has uploaded some interesting clips from the North End filming. So, if you miss the street closings and celebrity sightings, here you go. Check her website for more on Knight and Day, Tom Cruise’s formerly named Wichita movie. Weather Related Changes in “The Town” Film Street Closings

**URGENT**RELEASED TODAY BY “THE TOWN” FILM PRODUCTION**

ATTENTION RESIDENTS
DUE TO WEATHER THE CHARLESTON BRIDGE WILL NOT BE CLOSED ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3RD

On Sunday, October 4th we will be filming scenes for the upcoming feature film, “The Town”. We will be filming on N. Washington Street and Commercial Street and the Charlestown Bridge. The Bridge will be closed from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Commercial Street will be closed from Hanover Street to N. Washington Street from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm on Sunday. N. Washington Street will be closed from Cross Street to bridge from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday. Detours will be in place to facilitate movement around the closed areas.

“The Town” Looking for Extras

“The Town” film production is looking for “extras” around the neighborhood to be in the film that is currently shooting in the North End. Some neighborhood kids have already been selected. If you are interested, contact Patrick Mignano, Location Manager at (617) 519-1545.
