Zoning and Licensing Applications

105 Prince St., 105 Prince Street Condominium Association has filed an appeal seeking zoning relief to rebuild and expand the headhouse on the roof of the 5-story residential building.

Updates on Recent Zoning and Licensing Applications and Decisions

Cross Street Sidewalk Changes
7:30 PM – 7:45 PM
The committee will review and complete a draft letter providing NEWRA comments to the BRA and the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority on plans for reconfiguring the sidewalk and service road in front of the former Martignetti’s Liquors building to accommodate outdoor café seating. The BRA presented its plans at the August 13 NEWRA meeting.

Alcohol Licenses
7:45PM – 8:00 PM
NEWRA Alcohol License Policy: The Committee will review the status of neighborhood alcohol licenses and discuss proposals for amending the NEWRA alcohol license policy.

Development Projects
8:00 PM – 8:15 PM
Parcel 9 on the Greenway: The committee will review the status of the development proposals and Turnpike Authority selection process for Parcel 9 and determine whether NEWRA should advocate positions on the specific proposals. On June 30, 2009, the ZLC Committee signed a comment letter jointly with NEWNC and NECAC (see ZLC webpage at www.newra.org ).

8:15 PM – 8:30 PM
Government Center Garage Redevelopment: Beacon Hill Civic Association (BHCA) has formed a Task Force to promote the BHCA’s positions regarding this redevelopment project, including mitigation of project impacts to the Beacon Hill neighborhood. NEWRA’s Executive Committee is interested in forming a similar NEWRA task force. All residents interested in the project and its impacts to the community are urged to participate in this discussion.
