Locale Opens on Hanover Street Serving Gourmet Pizzas and Appetizers

Locale, a new pizza shop and restaurant, at 350 Hanover Street, shown here with owner Jennifer Pittore and host Mamh Byrne.

Thursday was opening night for Locale, a new Hanover Street eatery serving gourmet pizzas along with salads and appetizers. The shop is owned and operated by the North End’s own Pittore family who formerly ran Sage and a pizza shop on Prince Street. The new restaurant is at 350 Hanover Street in the location formerly occupied by Hanover News, on the corner of Tileston Street. Locale is also offering beer and wine as well as take-out service. We caught up briefly with Jennifer Pittore and host, Mamh Byrne, as the first customers were being served and snapped these photos.
