Team BPS Looking for 100 Ambassadors

The Boston Public Schools Office of Welcome Services has established a new team (a volunteer corps: Team BPS) to encourage more families to become part of the Boston Public Schools — understanding that the more people who are involved and invested, the better the schools will be for all kids.

It’s just a twice a year commitment — and in return you get many things, including a deeper connection to the community of people in Boston who believe in public education. We are reaching out to those folks who have real experiences in the schools: parents of BPS kids (current or grads), alumni, BPS teachers, community partners who work in the schools, and more. Team BPS is a Call to Action to help spread the word about the many good things happening in our schools and for our students.

Help us reach our goal of 100 ambassadors signed up by the time we announce Team BPS in early May! Join Team BPS by May 5 and receive an invite to join the Mayor and the Superintendent at the official launch of the program on May 8 at the Copley Library!

It takes just 3 or 4 minutes to fill out this online interest form:

Students entering Kindergarten, Grade 6 or Grade 9 may register during the month of January

BOSTON – Boston Public Schools (BPS) announces the start of the registration process for the 2010-2011 school year. The first round of registration runs from January 4 – February 5, 2010 and is open to students entering Kindergarten, Grade 6 or Grade 9.

How to Register
