11:00AM Mah Jongg Club. Stop by the North End Library and play the American-style variant of this tile-based game that originated in China and requires skill, strategy, and calculation. Beginners are welcome. No sign up is required. Weekly on Thursdays in October.

5:00PM North End Neighborhood Night. North Street Grille will, once again, be hosting “Neighborhood Night” on the first Thursday of each month with 50% of sales going to support North End Neighborhood nonprofit agency programs, see additional information here.

5:30PM ABCD Buona Sera: An Evening With Friends. Stop by 60 State Street for an evening with friends. All dollars raised will support educational and social services for the seniors and families of the North End, West End, and Beacon Hill, see additional information here.

6:00PM North End Public Safety Meeting. Stop by 30 North Bennet Street for the North End Public Safety Meeting. Attended by Boston Police Area A-1, all North End / Waterfront residents are welcome to attend.

Emerson student Daniel Hollis dies following weekend altercation

Emerson student Daniel Hollis died on Wednesday following a head injury received during an altercation in Allston-Brighton early last Saturday morning. Police are still conducting an active investigation of the assault, read more on Boston.com.

6:00PM International Day of the Girl Move Night. The BCYF Nazzaro Center will be hosting a movie night in honor of International Day of Girl for all ages to enjoy. Greenway Week. In celebration of the Rose Kennedy Greenway’s tenth anniversary, the Greenway Conservancy will host “Greenway Week”, see additional information here.

10:00AM Coffee Hour with Councilor Edwards. Join District One City Councilor Lydia Edwards for a coffee hour at Caffe Dello Sport in the North End from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., see additional information here.

11:00AM Boston Food Truck Festival. As part of Greenway Week, check out the area’s top food trucks for one big DELICIOUS fun filled day! Featuring up to 30 food trucks + beer garden + local artisan market + live music + kids activities and much more, see additional information here.

12:00pM Fall Festival at Christopher Columbus Park. Stop by Christopher Columbus Park for their Fall Festival from 12pM-4PM. Fall Festival kicks off at noon as the children parade around the park led by a tall clown! Read more here.
