Historic Neighborhood Photo: Cross Street Near Sumner Tunnel

Courtesy of City of Boston Archives

This week’s photo is of Cross Street by the Sumner Tunnel. As you can see, this location was a popular place for local advertisements to be displayed, as there was significant traffic pouring in from the single-laned Sumner Tunnel in the 1950s.
