Welcome back to our weekly update that highlights some of the cases appearing on 311 in the North End/Waterfront neighborhoods. All 311 cases are public information and can be found at 311.boston.gov.
Exposed Bolts on Cross Street and Salem Street
“Exposed bolts in sidewalk area at the corner of Cross & Salem streets, North End. Very dangerous. I saw 2 people walk into them with one person toppling. If the DPW or whatever department was responsible could get a saw or grinder and take those things out no one would get hurt. Thank you.”

The original 311 post can be found here. This case was submitted and opened on November 2nd, 2017. It was then closed on November 4th, 2017 with the following message: “Closed with status: Case Noted. Put missing bullard back on bolts this bullard belongs to the State and needs nuts to be bolted down.”
Rodent Sighting Case on Atlantic Avenue
“Dumpster infested with rats. Running through Commercial Wharf and along boardwalk. See them every night.”

Illegal Parking on Atlantic Avenue
“Truck parked in north end cycle track in front of Joe’s.”

The original 311 post can be found here. This case was submitted and opened on November 7th, 2017. It was then closed later that same day with the following message: “Closed with status: Case Noted. area will be enforced.”
