The ABCD North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center (NE/WE NSC) held its Mother’s Day party on Friday, May 12th. Over 40 mothers and their spouses and friends turned out for a home-cooked meal of salad, chicken cordon bleu, pasta, and fruit tarts, all lovingly prepared by Head Cook Franco Palopoli and served by NE/WE NSC staff and volunteers. The moms and everyone in attendance socialized, chatted, and relaxed as they enjoyed their meals, with no dishes to do afterward! The NE/WE NSC staff and volunteers prepared the drop-in center for the celebration with festive homemade placemats and other decorations. It was a lively atmosphere with a visit by Senator Joe Boncore and Legislative Aide Luigi Natale, and the raffling of door prizes, which were generously donated by Whole Foods Market.
