The Steriti skating rink on Commercial St. was packed with families and friends to enjoy a day of skating fun and support North End Against Drugs. In addition to public skating, several neighborhood organizations set up informational tables including NEAA – North End Athletic Association, NEWNC – North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council, Paul Revere House, Heart & Sole, NEMPAC – North End Music and Performing Arts Center, ABCD Center, Nazzaro Community Center, the Eliot School and Friends of the North End Branch Library.
NEAD set up a popular bake sale and cookie table and held an extensive raffle. The Nazzaro Band played during the event with participation from NEMPAC, who also offered face painting and kids activities. Prudential Financial was on the scene with their “ID a Kid” program. Food was served by the Skate Shop at the rink.Photos: Click the thumbnail images to enlarge and view as a slideshow.
