Cycle Track: Yesterday I had to go to the MGH main campus from the Prince Building. The straightest, fastest route on a bicycle (driving during rush would have been crazy) would have been along the maze of city streets. I opted for the safer new cycle path. The track hiccups in the Garden area but you can pick it up again ascending Staniford Street. So pleasant, so safe. What an urban treat.

David: Any issues with walkers and joggers on the track? I saw lots of them using it through the winter and thought it could become an issue when bike season starts. I think the whole point/goal is that the cycle track is for just that: bicycles. Joggers and pedestrians have always had sidewalks. I’m wondering if this will become an issue…
Will be interesting to see if the drainage issues along the cycle track are addressed, as where the lots are on Commercial Street, a lot of water tends to accumulate after it rains.
Edited to add: where the lots exits to the streets, water tends to accumulate there.
