Three Things to Know for Sunday, May 8, 2016:

  1. Happy Mother’s Day! Whether you are going out to eat, taking a walk in the park, catching up over the phone, or just thinking of a lost loved one … Sunday is the day we celebrate all the special mothers in our lives.
  2. Get out your costume! Duckling Day is happening not too far away at the Public Garden and Boston Common. The parade begins at 12:00 noon and registration begins at 10:00 a.m. More details. [Bonus read: Downtown View: Ducklings Then and Now]
  3. Book signing and talk – Andrea Molesini’s “Not All Bastards Come From Vienna” was awarded the 2011 Campiello Prize for Literature, one of Italy’s most prestigious literary awards. Sunday, May 8th, 3pm, I Am Books, 189 North Street.
