Zoning Appeals and License Applications

7:00 PM – 7:20 PM
1 & 2 Hull Street Court, Robert Onessimohas filed appeals for zoning relief to construct fifth floor additions to the two 4-story buildings to increase the living spaces of the top floor condominium units.

7:20 PM – 7:35 PM
10 Lewis Street, Melina DiPaolaproposes to operate a Spin Bike Studio and juice bar in the first floor space formerly occupied by the Armenis Olive Oil Company.

7:35 PM – 7:50 PM
123-125 Salem Street, La Galleria 33 Restaurant plans to apply for a new C.V. 7-Day All-Alcoholic Beverages license as an upgrade from the existing Wine & Malt Beverages License.

7-11 Store, 340 Hanover Street, Proposed Business Signs

7:50 PM – 8:10 PM
The committee will review the plans for business signs and lighting at the new 7-11 store that replaces the White Hen Pantry at the corner of Hanover and North Bennet streets and draft a letter for input to the BRA’s design review and approval.

124-126 Salem Street Proposed Building Plans

8:10 PM – 8:30 PM
The committee will review the building plans at 124-126 Salem Street, currently a 13-car parking lot, to develop questions and comments for submission to the owner in advance of a possible NEWRA vote on the project at NEWRA’s January 9, 2014 meeting.

Update on Major Development Projects at Lovejoy Wharf, Government Center and Boston Garden

On November 14, 2013, the Boston Redevelopment Authority’s (BRA) Board of Directors unanimously approved the plans for redevelopment of the Government Center Garage.  The project will build 2.9 million square feet of residential, office, hotel and retail space in six buildings with heights ranging from 60 feet to 528 feet.

The BRA plans to seek its Board of Directors’ approvals on December 19 for proposed towers at Boston Garden, 80 Causeway Street (in front of the TD Garden), including approval of the project plans and approval of the developer’s request for property tax relief.

NEWRA meetings are open, and all North End/Waterfront residents are encouraged to attend.
