The North End Historical Society sponsored a lecture and discussion on “The History of Cannoli,” the wondrous dessert that attracts thousands to the North End each year. Michele Topor of the famed North End Market Tours explained the major differences between the Italian and Italian-American version of cannoli. And, of course, there were complementary samples from the North End’s own Bova Bakery.
