History of Cannoli Featured at North End Historical Society Presentation [Photos]

The North End Historical Society sponsored a lecture and discussion on “The History of  Cannoli,” the wondrous dessert that attracts thousands to the North End each year. Michele Topor of the famed North End Market Tours explained the major differences between the Italian and Italian-American version of cannoli. And, of course, there were complementary samples from the North End’s own Bova Bakery. The free event was held on May 29, 2013 at the Nazzaro Community Center and was organized by NEHS member Corey McAveeney. Find more information at www.northendboston.org.
