Friends of the North End Parks Plant 1000 Pansies on Cross Street Plaza Along Greenway

The Friends of the North End Parks were busy last week planting 1000 pansies along the Cross Street Plaza planters, around the Tony DeMarco statue and in the Prado (Paul Revere Mall). Jorge Mendoza of Monica’s made a generous contribution to support the volunteer efforts of FOTNEP.

FOTNEP continues the beautify the Parks in The North End. They want to add color to beautify the Greenway although The RFK Greenway Conservancy has not made the opportunity available to FOTNEP, despite their efforts of almost a year to collaborate.

Circle the City Makes Streets Car-Free Along the Greenway on August 5th

Circle the City will close Surface Road along the Rose Kennedy Greenway as well as State Street and part of Congress Street on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 10am – 1pm. Neighborhood Photo: Neon Art on the Greenway

The historic neon signs from local businesses are still on display along the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
