NEAA Senior Dodgers Enter Fall Wood Bat Classic Tournament

Coming off their 19u Lou Tompkins Championship the NEAA Senior Dodgers will enter the 19u Fall Wood Bat Classic Tournament put on by Champs Boston and the Boston Foundation.

Coaches Ralph Martignetti, Randy Foley and Steve Passatempo will take their recently crowned squad and give it one more go against some of the best teams in the city. The Dodgers will find waiting for them longtime rivals South End Astros as well as teams from East Boston, Malden, Jamaica Plain and other surrounding neighborhoods. The Dodgers hope to return most of their squad however that could be challenging with so many Dodgers off at college. “We are going to take the players we can get and go there and give it our best shot,” stated coach Randy Foley. “We just want to get in one more month of quality baseball before we have to deal with the off-season,” said coach Ralph Martignetti. The Dodgers expect to field the following roster:

The tournament will consist of 8 games and then playoffs with the Championship taking place on Columbus Day Monday October 8th.

  1. Saturday 9/15 11am doubleheader vs East Boston Eagles at Noyes Park in Eastie
  2. Saturday 9/22 1:30pm doubleheader vs South End Astros at Jefferson Field in Jamaica Plain
  3. Saturday 9/29 11am doubleheader vs Boston Padres at Noyes Park in Eastie
  4. Friday 10/5 5pm doubleheader vs Malden Angels at Healy Field under the lights
  5. Sunday 10/7 semi-finals 1:30pm at Noyes Park in Eastie
  6. Monday 10/8 Championship 11am at Healy
