Many Memorial Day tributes went virtual this year, but wreathes and flags still showed up at various sites around Boston to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our nation and freedoms. The North End Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 144 held its annual service on Memorial Day. Honoring the North End’s fallen, ceremonial stops were made at the the VFW plaque on the Paul Revere Mall (Prado) and the Iraq/Afghanistan memorial at Old North Memorial Garden. Photos by Matt Conti.
