The Nazzaro Center hosted the 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland and Tree Lighting on Tuesday, December 3rd. The courtyard was transformed with a Christmas tree donated by George Hadaya and all the lights by Steven Virgilio.

Santa was on hand for the kids with special gifts, hot chocolate and caroling. State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz and City Councilor Lydia Edwards did the honors of flipping the switch at the Winter Wonderland constructed by Steven Virgilio. Inside, there was hot chocolate and kids crafts.
The event comes courtesy of the Nazzaro Center, DePasquale Ventures, NEAD, NEMPAC, George Hadaya, Steven Virgilio and ROC Teen Saturday.

The North End Beautification Committee held a special tree lighting event at the beautiful Christmas tree on the corner of Hanover and Cross Streets. The best thing about Christmas tree lightings are that you can go the next day and see it all! On Saturday night, Faneuil Hall was packed shoulder to shoulder to see Mayor Walsh flip the switch. As part of its “Bright Lights for Winter Nights” event on December 21, 2010 the Greenway Conservancy hosted the 2nd annual tree lighting of the Great Elm in the North End Greenway parks.
